Coin de Mire

Often featured in many holiday magazines given its interesting wedge-like shape, visible from the Northern tips of Mauritius.

Situated at 8 kilometres to the north of Mauritius, this islet of 65 hectares still has remains of the primary vegetation surviving in spite of the occasional fire and the presence of rats and hares.

Although there is no beach, the Coin de Mire island is a popular place for snorkeling should one has the opportunity to go there by speedboat.

Many find this calm place romantic and go there for the famous sunset cruise either by the catamarans leaving from Grand Baie or by a speedboat.
